Hello! đź‘‹

Writing great content is only half the battle. To keep your feed organized and professional, you need to know how to manage your post settings. Whether you're back-dating a post or choosing who gets the credit, here is how to fine-tune your updates.

1. Control Visibility (Published Toggle)

Not every draft is ready for the world. In your post settings, you’ll find the Published toggle.

  • When it's OFF: Your post is a draft. You can see it and edit it in your dashboard, but your users won't see it on your public page.
  • When it's ON: Your post goes live instantly for everyone to see.

2. Setting the Time of Publication

By default, Feedlo generates a timestamp the moment you create a post. However, you have full control over this:

  • Back-dating: If you forgot to post an update from last Tuesday, you can manually adjust the date so your timeline stays accurate.
  • Organization: Keeping your posts in chronological order helps users follow your product's growth naturally.

3. Organizing with Tags

Tags are the best way to help your users filter through your updates. Instead of reading everything, a developer might only want to see "Bug Fixes," while a founder might only care about "New Features."

  • How to use them: Type your tag name (like Improvement or Update) and pick a color.
  • The result: These tags appear right next to your title in the feed, making your changelog much easier to scan at a glance.

4. Selecting the Author

Transparency builds trust. By selecting an Author, you show your users the real people behind the code.

  • Humanize your brand: Posts look much better when they are signed by a real person with a profile photo.
  • Teamwork: If you have multiple people in your workspace, you can easily select who should get the credit for that specific update.

By mastering these settings, you ensure that your Feedlo page isn't just a list of text, it's a professional, organized, and human story of your progress. 🚀
